Getting groceries is less about veggies and more about beer run!
Mickey Andrade is no stranger to building unique cars. We have the pleasure of witnessing the birth of several of his creations including a Honda Civic SiR-S (EG right-hand drive), Toyota Corolla AE86 and now what Mickey has named #RicFlare, playing on the famous wrestler of similar name. Mickey also houses a pair of modified Nissan 240SX S13 and S14 in his stable.
Our account of Mickey’s style/taste is that he enjoys making a statement and he actually enjoys making the general audience love or hate his projects. You can’t please everyone in his car community, so why not just please yourself. And that is what Mickey does. He also mixes show queen and track ready in all his projects. Many will say that his cars are garage queens, we say “Hell No!” Mickey was part of the Falken drift team from it’s infancy and we have personally experienced his driving ability. He would not build a car without it being capable of being thrashed.
Mickey is a native to Japanese cars, but after spending a lot of time hanging with the Big-Euro/SoCalEuro team, he was hooked. He acquired this BMW E91 328iX Wagon, his first European car. Wanting to create a unique masterpiece, he locked down a Liberty Walk widebody kit for a BMW E92 M3. If your a BMW guy, you will know that Liberty Walk only has the kit designed for a coupe 2-door. Mickey was determined to make the kit work on his 4-door wagon. Think about it, a body kit for a 2-door for a 5-door wagon? With the help of LT Motorwerks, Mickey spend countless hours at the shop hand modifying the body kit to mold to his wagon.
Mickey ordered up a set of HRE Wheels S107 to accompany the styling he was after. Within those widebody wheel arches are some 19×11 fronts and 19×13.5 rear wheels. Custom finished Volt Yellow inner barrels behind Battle Grey outer barrels were ordered on the HRE Wheels . Those wide wheels were wrapped in track ready Toyo Proxes R888 measuring 265/35/19 front and 325/30/19 rear. If you have seen Mickey’s stable of cars, you will quickly find out some of his favorite colors. White and highlighter yellow are definitely a combination that makes a statement. A set of Rotora big brakes in yellow were installed behind the HRE’s.
Since Mickey was diagnosed with a disease, Acrophobia, he made sure that RicFlare rode nice and low. AccuAir suspension was employed to allow RicFlare to drive at a comfortable height while being able to park even lower. He completed the interior of the car with M3 steering wheel and Recaro Sportster CS leather seats.
One thing is certain, Mickey has made his introduction into the Euro scene with a bold statement. #RicFlare lives.
